UL21272 FRPE Insulated Cable – 80°C / 90V Multi-Conductor Wire for Internal and External Electronic Applications

UL21272 is a UL-certified multi-conductor cable designed for both internal wiring and external interconnection of electronic equipment. Rated for 80°C and 90V, this cable features solid or stranded copper conductors, insulation complying with the manufacturer's AWM procedure, and an extruded FRPE jacket. It complies with the Cable Flame Test under UL 758 AWM standards, making it suitable for applications requiring flexibility and flame resistance.

  • Conductor: Solid or stranded copper, 40 AWG minimum

  • Insulation: Labeled or complies with manufacturer's AWM Procedure

  • Assembly: Two or more insulated singles or groups of insulated singles cabled together to form a flat, oval, or round assembly, with optional inner covering, optional inner shield, optional outer covering, optional outer shield, and overall jacket. Barrier layer and/or fillers optional.

  • Shield: Inner and outer shields are optional

  • Covering: Inner and outer coverings are optional; a 6 mil or heavier PVC covering may be extruded over the conductor assembly

  • Jacket: Extruded FRPE

    • For cables with a major diameter:

      • ≤ 0.700 inch: 30 mils minimum average thickness, 24 mils minimum at any point

      • 0.701–1.000 inch: 45 mils minimum average thickness, 36 mils minimum at any point

      • 1.001–1.500 inch: 60 mils minimum average thickness, 48 mils minimum at any point

      • 1.501–2.500 inch: 80 mils minimum average thickness, 64 mils minimum at any point

      • 2.501–4.000 inch: 110 mils minimum average thickness, 88 mils minimum at any point

      • 4.000 inch: 140 mils minimum average thickness, 112 mils minimum at any point

  • Temperature Rating: 80°C

  • Voltage Rating: 90V

  • Flame Resistance: Passes Cable Flame Test

  • Standard: UL 758 AWM Style 21272
